Usage
PROXON BITU BLACK Recommended for industrial pipelines, chimney stacks, con- densers, air coolers, centrifugal pumps, air ducting, and sugar industries. Ideal for surfaces requiring acid and alkali resis- tance.
How to use?
- Clean surface thoroughly
- Remove rust, grease
- Use wire brushing/sandblasting
- Apply first coat evenly
- Allow drying 10-12 hrs
- Apply second coat
About
Surface Preparation: Surface must be clean, free from dirt, rust, grease, oil & loose particles. Use wire brushing, compressed air, or water washing to remove dust and dirt for better bonding. Ensure the surface is dry before application. For steel structures, remove rust scales using wire brushing, scraping, or sand/grit blasting. For new surfaces, clean oil & grease with degreas- ing solvents like turpentine or thinners.
Application Procedure:
- PROXON BITU BLACK is applied based on surface porosity using a brush, roller, or spray at 50–70 psi.
- Stir well for
- Apply the first coat at 70–100 microns thickness and allow drying for 10–12
- Apply the second coat over the first to achieve the final finish (DFT) or as per engi- neer’s approval.

Shelf Life
PROXON BITU BLACK has a 12-month shelf life when stored sealed, dry, and away from ignition sources or direct sunlight.

Coverage of PROXON BITU BLACK is 5.0–6.0 sq. meters per liter at 70–100 microns DFT, ensuring effective protection and durability for concrete and steel surfaces.
Safety
PROXON BITU BLACK is flammable. Wear protective gear while handling. In case of contact, flush with water. Seek medical attention if needed. Refer to the MSDS before use.
