Usage
PROXON HESSIAN MEMBRANE is used for protected roofing, waterproofing, and damp-proofing in single or multi-layer systems. Ideal for roof slabs, podiums, basements, raft slabs, roof gardens, toilet sunken slabs, and terraces.
How to use?
- Smooth surface required
- Clean to remove projections
- Apply PROMASTIC primer first
- Torch-apply with overlaps
- Seal overlaps with flame
- Top with screed/tiles
About
Surface Preparation: A smooth, clean sur- face is required before applying PROXON HESSIAN MEMBRANE. Remove sharp pro- jections, dust, and debris.
Priming:
Apply PROXON PROMASTIC to enhance adhesion (refer to the relevant data sheet).
Application:
Unroll PROXON HESSIAN MEMBRANE over
the surface and apply using a torch with 10cm overlaps. Seal overlaps with a flame torch for secure bonding.
Topping:
For accessible roofs, top with cement screed or tiles using chicken wire mesh reinforcement. Inaccessible roofs can be coated with PROXON BITUMEN and PROXON SILVER for added protection.
Limitations:
Apply between 5°C & 45°C. Warm the membrane below 5°C & store above 20°C for optimal bonding & easy application.
