Usage
How to use?
- Prepare sound surface
- Remove loose materials
- Clean exposed steel
- Prime with Bonding agent
- Apply mortar mix
- Cure and clean
Application
Surface Preparation:
Ensure the concrete surface is sound and uncontaminated. Saw cut damaged areas with square edges and remove loose ma- terial using suitable tools. If reinforcement is corroded, fully expose and clean it to a bright metal finish.
Priming:
Clean steel using PROXON RUST RC or grit blasting and coat with PROXON ZINC RP (zinc-rich epoxy primer). For chlo- ride-damaged concrete, use an epoxy bonding coat. For general priming, apply PROXON SBR for improved adhesion.
Mixing:
Use hand or mechanical methods. Add PROXON PATCHREP FR powder slowly into clean water and mix until smooth. Adjust consistency as needed.
Placing and Finishing:
Apply the mix over tacky primer using a trowel or gloved hand. Thickness up to 40 mm in one pass. Use formwork for high
build; cross-hatch previous layers before recoating.
Curing:
Protect against rapid drying using plastic sheets or curing compounds.
Cleaning: Wash tools with water immedi- ately after use.
