Application
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces receiving PROXON TA 1 must be sound and clean, free of grease, dust, loose mortar, wallpaper, or paint. Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with water. Remove hollow or loose finishes and repair with PROXON SBR-modified mortar over bonding slurry ( 1:1 cement:PROXON SBR ). Ensure tile backs are clean.
Substrates:
Apply over concrete, cement screed, or lime mortar. For gypsum surfaces, prime with PROXON SBR Super. Let new substrates cure for 28 days. For existing tiles, fill joints, ensure solid adhesion, and replace any loose tiles.
Mixing:
Mix 25kg of PROXON TA 1 with 5–6L clean water (4–5L for 20kg). Allow to rest for 5 mins before use. Use mechanical mixer; hand mix only for small batches.
Application:
Spread 3–6mm adhesive evenly. Use solid bed method for floors, and notched trowel (6mm) for walls. Place tiles, adjust within 10–15 mins.
